It’s Plastic. It’s Fantastic. It’s my entry into medium format film. It’s the FPP’s Plastic Filmtastic Debonair! And this is my first week with it…
A couple of months ago, I loaded up a bunch of film: 3 holders full of HP5+ and 2 of FP4+. I shot one holder of HP5 maybe a month ago, but they were horribly mis-focused and not correctly exposed. The rest have been sitting, wrapped in zip lock bags, not refrigerated, just waiting, waiting.
I was impressed with the FP4 Plus the first time I shot it and I was looking forward to shooting it again. And after shooting through a roll, developing and scanning it, and processing the files into pictures, it didn’t disappoint, as long as I took the time to compose and consider the outcome.
If you recall, a couple of weeks ago, I experimented a bit with scratching the a couple of bits of paint off of the film canister to change the DX codes and fool the Espio into thinking it was shooting 320 speed film, rather than the 100 that the Kentmere was originally coded at. I […]
Yep. I pushed Kentmere 400 to 1600 and developed it and lived to tell the tale. Truth is, there’s not much to tell…

High contrast black & white with flash at night? Yes, Please. It does get a bit hard to frame, and virtually impossible to focus though. Fun!
