I walk alone

However Allah guides us to His path, and however many people help us along the way, and however many people we surround ourselves with, copy, model ourselves after, follow,  emulate, when it comes down to it, we’re all going to stand naked and alone (and hopefully not too afraid) in front of Allah.

We will be judged. As Allah azza wa jall told us in Surah Ghafir,

This Day every soul will be recompensed for what it earned. No injustice today! Indeed, Allah is swift in account.

And Allah is the Most Just, the All Aware. He knows what you did last summer, and it’s not Becky’s fault. Mommy and Daddy were probably not the model parents they wanted to be, but you don’t get to blame them for your sins. And if Mommy, Daddy, and Becky can’t help you, when they were there, party to your life and crimes, don’t think for a second that some pious dead person or prophet is going to have anything to say for you.

You walk your path alone, and rejoice! Allah is the best of guides.
