DeChirico & Klee

I grabbed these two pictures from a video:

Something about the color, or arrangement of lines, or something in the background at those moments when Imam Wahaj walked out of the frame reminded me of Paul Klee, and then of Georgio de Chirico. Do you see it too?

I then ran them through a bit of processing in Filterstorm, the built-in photo editing tools in iOS7, and Lightroom, and voila:

…looks like Spring

Last week was very busy… Hana, her sons, and I moved into her lovely house, and you all know what fun moving is (actually, it’s very fun for me, if a bit tiring). I did take a few days off work, which helped, but sadly had not much time to shoot. Thankfully, I grabbed few quick shots of the Snapdragon and Delphinium arrangement I arranged for Hana on hour 6 month anniversary. Not much more to say, or, rather, whole loads more to say, but I need to set up Wednesday’s post and get back to setting up the office and do thee last bit of unpacking. Woo!

Last Saturday morning, I woke up with some amazing hair… one look in the mirror and…

It’s a Psychobilly Freakout!!!!

I hadn’t thought about the Reverend Horton Heat in years… I saw the Reverend in 1995 or ’96 (or 94, maybe) at some club in Deep Ellum. Great show. The video above is from 2011, and they’ve still got it!

(Protip: open the video in a new tab, start it playing, come back here, click on one of the pics above, and cycle through them in time to the music… psychobilly freakout, indeed.)
