Today, on the last day of Ramadan, I’m grateful for this beautiful religion.

I’m grateful for its simplicity and ease; for its universality. I’m grateful for the prayers and fasting, the charity, and the pilgrimage, may Allah enable me to participate one day.

I grateful for Allah, His angels, His books, His prophets (peace be upon them all), for the last day, when all will be judged based solely on their deeds and belief, and His divine decree, without which I would not be where I am and you would not be reading this.

May Allah accept our prayers and fasting, and may He forgive us any and all shortcomings, Ameen.
