This was my first Photowalk with the Dallas Photo Walk MeetUp Group. I purchased the D7000 about five weeks prior to this event, and had just started listening to photography-related podcasts on occasion, one of which suggested finding a local MeetUp group to go out shooting with to help with growth as a photographer. I had my eye on another local MeetUp group—one that always has model fees and other expenses attached—when this group started, and so I joined.

We met on the southeastern edge of Deep Ellum, and walked up and down Commerce and Main streets, between IH45 and maybe Malcolm X. It was a great time, and I got some pretty decent shots, I think.
