Biography

An accomplished researcher and data interpreter, James leads a small, highly specialized team to build and maintain a database of corporate hierarchies for Equifax, and provides high level support to internal and external clients.
Previous research assignments include collecting and analyzing the financial records of nonprofit organizations for an expert in not-for-profit accounting, collecting current contact information for high and mid-level executives for a charitable foundation, and determining historical prices and sales records for art galleries and private dealers, in addition to numerous academic research projects in areas ranging from phenomenology and hermeneutics to 19th Century Art criticism and 21st century cultural studies.
James holds an M.A. in Art History and Criticism from Stony Brook University, and a B.A. in Visual Arts and Philosophy from the University of Illinois at Springfield, and spent 9 years as an art handler, gallery director, and art reviewer.
In 2007, he published an essay on the similarities between postmodernism and the nazi aesthetic program, and his Master’s Thesis (on graffiti and street art) has been mentioned in several books, dissertations, and websites.
When he’s not busy researching, James photographs real estate for clients in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, creates fabulous vegetarian recipes, plays with cats and cameras, listens to difficult contemporary orchestral musics, and blogs about photography, graffiti, various personal research projects, and other topics.
